WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, seat belt tensioner, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible personal injury or death.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover (See below). CAUTION: When servicing the instrument center bezel, use tape or another suitable material to protect the cup holder and ash receiver from cosmetic damage.
  3. Open the ashtray and the cup holder.
  4. Remove the screw (3) that secures the instrument panel center bezel (2) to the instrument panel (1).
  5. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the retainer clips that secure the instrument panel center bezel to the instrument panel.
  6. Disconnect the wire harness connectors and remove the center bezel from the vehicle.
REMOVAL

  1. Remove the two screws (1) that secure the bottom of the steering column opening cover (2) to the instrument panel.
  2. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, release the two retainer clips that secure the top of the steering column opening cover to the instrument panel and remove the cover.
  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove center instrument panel bezel (See above).
  3. Remove radio mounting fasteners.

CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
  4. Disconnect the antenna cable by pulling the locking antenna connector (2) away from the radio.

  5. Disconnect electrical harness connector.

this is easy.. to shorten all those diagrams, simply grab the knob that looks like a coat rack almost on the passenger side, and pull, work your way around popping out the clips, and tahdah!

Then remove the 4 screws holding in the radio, unplug the harness and antenna wire, and your set!
