Default Difference in Mopar CAI's ?

On ebay there are two styles of mopar intakes listd for the 5.7 First one has an all metal tube, as shown in first pic, second one has some metal and some plastic for the tube part. Are they different years even though they are both listed for the new 09-10's. Any help is appreciated. i would like to go with either this one for the oem fit and finish, warranty non issue stuff, or the volant which has the enclosed box with unexposed filter.

I personally prefer the closed box style that isolates the cone filter from the engine compartment air and hooks up to a cold air inlet opening in the fender, like the Volant or some of the AFE units.

Neither of these will void your warranty.

The picture on the left with the metal pipe is not meant for the 2009/2010 model year. That's the intake for 2008's and before. The intake on the right with the half plastic and metal pipe is the one I have and it's the correct model and picture for the 2009/2010 model year. They might be using the old picture for the new intake. Just confirm the part number before you order.

I have it and I like it.

thanks for the reply, I figured it was something like tha but wanted cofirmaion. Especially when some are priced $100 apart. Is the mopar filter an oiled type like K&N or is it a dry filter.

They are dry ones, no need oil!! just have to take it out and put it in warm water to soak it and clean.
