I use this:

http://www.rcsuperstore.com/ProductD...PAC294&click=2

It is 100% reversible as well. There is NO sanding needed to be done.

This is the procedure that I use:

1. Remove tail light or headlight.

2. Clean thoroughly with rubbing alcohol.

3. Spray the light in stages. I do 2 up and downs.

4. Allow 15 minutes to dry. Then spray until the prefer level of darkness is achieved.

5. Re-install.

6. Step and love it.

To remove it, all you have to do it spray rubbing alcohol and then it comes off with the wipe of a cloth.

I like/use the VHT Niteshade. Used it on the tails and 3rd brake light

So did you paint the outside? How does this stuff stand up to weather?

If you want something that is reversible, I would go for tinting using actual tint, it takes some practice and a lot of patience but in the end I think it looks a lot better than the Nightshaded ones, you can buy one big sheet and cut out tail lights and 3rd brake light pieces...
