Default Largest wheels on factory rims

HI THERE,

NEWBIE ( SINCE YESTERDAY) WITH 2010 1500 CREWCAB LARAMIE. THE ONLY MODIFICATIONS I INTEND TO CARRY OUT ARE A FRONT LEVELLING KIT 2-2 1/2" AND HOPEFULLY KEEP THE FACTORY RIMS CURRENTLY FITTED WITH 275/65/20'S AND UPGRADE TO 325/60/20 TOYO OPEN COUNTRY A/T.
I HAVE A 2010 F350 WHICH I USE FOR WORK AND CAMPING WHERE I KEPT THE STOCK 20" RIMS AND REPLACED TIRES WITH THE 325/60/20'S TOGETHER WITH A FRONT 2" LEVELLING KIT WITH NO RUBBING/SPEEDO/GEAR RATIO ISSUES.
I WOULD APPRECIATE ALL AND ANY ADVICE FROM ANYONE WHO HAS DONE THESE MODIFICATIONS TO THE 1500.

REGARDS

KEN

315/60/20 should fit without an issue, but with 325's you may get slight rub at full turning. You might have to trim a little, but it seems people have mixed reviews on that.

305, maybe a little rub at full steering lock.

315, definitely some rub at steering lock.

325, definitely some rub before steering lock.

oh, by the way.... DON'T SHOUT!!!

Appreciate the replies. I do some business with a local tyre guy and am going to ask him to pop on a spare 325 tire I have in my garage and look for issues while he has it on the hoist and in the air.
Didn't mean to shout Maddog ....... appreciate your pointing it out.

No worries, bud. Just pointing it out.

One thing to remember is that you can reduce rubbing on the inside of your wheel well with a different offset on the wheel but that takes a new wheel. Don't let them sell you wider tires that requires you to add spacers to the wheel hub.

I have 325/60/20 on my truck and rub when i go over to full lock this is with a level kit....so i can say you will most likely rub if you put those tires on!! if you don't want to you can always go down to a 315 or 305!

the 305/60 is the exact same height as your factory 275/65 so i would stick with that unless you want an incorrect speedo i have learned to deal with mine but im gonna fix that with a programmer soon! As for the rubbing its hard to say you just have to as you said test fit and go from there hope everything works out!

I was told by Readylift thier SST 2.5" kit with 325/60/20 on stock rims with A/T's will not rub at all. Its suppose to raise it 2.5" on the front and 1.5" on the back. They did say mud terrains (with side bite) would rub due to the width. Anyone actually try this set up?

Quick update,
Before switching out the factory tire from the stock 275/65/20 to a 325/60/20, I checked the clearance between the upper ball joint arm and the stock tire - real close maybe only 1/2" clearance and fitting the 325 on the stock rim would add an inch front and back which would then touch the arm irrespective of whether or not I fitted of any levelling or lift kit.
As I now can't use the factory rims, I will probably fit a 2" front levelling kit, buy a set or rims with a -25 off set ( this should then allow me to fit the 325's and maintain the original clearance between the arm and tire ). The additional 2" or so of tire now sticking out past the fender I will address by removing the factory coloured fender flares and replacing with matching coloured bushwacker flares. Should then end up with a wider and taller stance with beefier tires but still look pretty close to factory.
I will post some pics once done.
