I have a new 2010 crew cab Laramie, I have the rattle in the passenger seat. I know it is coming from the seat back because you can push against it when it is rattling and it will stop.

Mine did the same the thing...it was NOT the seat, it was the seat belt. Just move the seat belt off the seat back so it stows properly between the side of the seat and the pillar...this should do the trick.

Default It may not be the seat belt it could be under the seat

Hey guys check under your seat , you will find the lock for your rims . They put it in a plastic bag zip tied it to the jack and it rattles like HELL down there . I pulled mine out and placed in a cloth bag under my center seat. Oh buy the way if you ever need to use the Jack under the passenger seat , good luck with that damn cheap thing . I suggest tossing that and buy a cylinder jack .

Same issue i had...rattle with front passenger seat area, BUTTTTTTT, like your`s, same problem found before i went to the dealer, found seatbelt buckle was bangin on the side piller post because passengers aren`t smart enough when they get out of the truck to PUT THE SEATBELT back in the factory position...good thing we dont let THEM drive huhhhh...lol. Dealerships scare me, most of those dealer "parking lot boys" are dumber than sh-t that are allowed to work on your trucks. So i`m VERY glad i found the problem before having to deal with the stupid dealership.

So to the other guy....check ALL your seatbelts first...correct position...?
Put a wrench on the mounting bolts, are they all tight...? (probably are)
Look for wiring harness under seat to make sure its fastend to the seat framework.
Check to see if the jack is tight,(under pass seat) some have had mounting bolt backed off, and then caused a rattle too.

Let us all know what you found when you`ve fixed it...good luck to ya

hey guys, I tilted the passenger seat back and the rattle stoped. I put the seat back up and got the sound again (with my kid in the back holding the seat belt), the passenger seat gets a pretty good vibration and starts the rattle when the seat is straight up, put it at a slight angle and the vibration stops. This is my only complaint so far, 1 month owner with 1k so far. LOVE THE TRUCK, hate the rattle.
