Does anyone know if the Big Horn sits higher off the ground than the Sport? I thought that for the most part the Big Horn was an appearance package, but a few have suggested that the Red Big Horn that I test drove sits higher off the ground than the sport that I bought?

If that is the case....going to have to do something about that, I prefer a higher riding truck....

Not sure if one sits higher than the other. I know they make a body kit that may make it seem lower. You can always invest in a leveling kit and bring the front end up a couple of inches.

I plan on doing that for sure. It is funny, with all of my Chevy trucks, there were actual adjustments under the front that when done right would bring the front end up some to make it more level. Of course the alignment, camber, toe and caster had to be re-done, but I made friends with some of the techs at the dealership and it was covered under warranty

Could you point me in the right direction for a leveling kit? Also how much are they approximately?

Depending on the company, leveling kit prices can vary from $110 to over $200. There are a lot of good companies to choose from (Daystar, Readylift, HBS, Truxxx) Whichever you choose, your truck's stance will improve

unless you've got your heart set on an in dash nav unit, you might be able to save a lot of $$$$ by buying a portable unit, which in my opinion are better...

1)can be moved from vehicle to vehicle, or even used as a walking nav unit (some of them)
2) POI section is better
3)user interfaces are better and easier to use
4)considerably cheaper to purchase
5)map updates can be done more easily, and cheaper (often free for up to 2 yrs)
6)available true turn by turn voice prompts, including street names

HI Exco

I agree with all you points, the only reason I wanted the in dash was to keep clutter from the dash etc. I have a RADAR dectector that is already going to take up window space (unless there is a mirror mount that I dont yet know about) and I was just trying to keep it as clean as possible. But all of your points are very true and valid.

I have GPS on my phone that does an outstanding job as well, so I guess I wont have to buy the external unit - come to think of it - not sure why I am stuck on this subject, might be because it is a bell/whistle that was a nice to have that I dont have

I truly believe that the RAM ownership has done this to me

personally i much prefer the mygig

1) Factory appearance, flush with dash, steering controls work, uconnect, sirius.
2) I don't mind the Nav. It could be a bit easier to use i guess.
3) In dash mount - i used to use the gps on my phone, but i much prefer the in dash gps - bigger screen, music mutes if phone call comes in, nav directions mute the driver front speaker

so do you have the builtin from Dodge then? A few say that it is not user friendly, the POI DB is not as good etc. Can I add the the NAV to my 430 that came with the truck or would the whole thing need swapped out?
