Default first tow

Well I have to say that being used to towing with a 2500 diesel.....going to a 1500 with a hemi is interesting. I towed 6,000 lbs for about 300 miles and I am overall pleased. The transmission works extremely well and there is plenty of power. I really am pleasantly surprised. The worst part is the mpg...avg about my old diesel I could get 20 pulling the same trailer. I towed without the predator and with the predator and it is a big difference in maintaining speed. Of course using 93 octane fuel I am sure makes a difference.

Ya big difference between the diesel and gassers. Towed by friends 26ft cabin cruiser a little while ago and was very impressed on how my 2500 cummins handled it, pulled it like a champ!

I haven't towed as large a load as I used to with a diesel pickup but then I don't expect to have to. What I do expect is not to see the kind of mileage I got with the diesel towing with a gas engine.

Glad it all worked out for ya!
