Default General A/C question

I have and 07, 4.7L V8 and I live in AZ. It get's pretty hot but compared to Iraq and Saudi, I don't need to turn on the A/C. Well I driving and the Temp read 110 and my dog was just about die'ing in the heat so I decided to trun on the A/C. Well the A/C is coming out like as if the A/C is turned on a cool day. It's not blowing hot air but yet it's not cooling anything down at all. Ok maybe it bring it down a few degrees. But any help would be great.

im not an AC expert...but i know all vehicles run different temps of AC in hot weather...I believe the AC temp must be 20-30 degrees less inside the vehicle than what the temp is outside...so, if it is around that number, your AC should be running properly...

No it's no where near 20-30 degree's cooler inside. It's at most 10 degrees and that's me being generous.

Have you checked the R-134 level and line pressures yet?

You need to put a set of AC guages on and have a look at the pressures with the AC compressor turning. Should see around 30psi on the low side and around 150psi on the high side. However if you are unsure of what you are doing you need to take it to an A/C shop and have them check things out for you. IMHO
