from Denver to Grand Junction Co & about 60 miles on the I-70 before I-15 in Utah, you going to be in hill country
you will want a trailer with electric brakes
thats just my opinion, if you going to rent the trailer from Uhaul, they will check out your vehicle & tell you about any concerns
the car weighs 5200 pounds empty
a standard Harley weighs about 700 to 800 pounds, of course Choppers & Sportsters are lighter than that

I pulled my 3 ton RV travel trailer from IL to FL in 2005. Around Chattanooga, I lost the rear differentional. Luckily, my 2003 was barely still inside the warranty period. Seems 2003s had this differentional issue that needed to be fixed but wasn't a recall item.

If you can, putting on high performance discs and pads now will help with the braking. I did and every RV trip is much, much better. Don't let the truck waiver in overdrive, as the manual says to turn this off when towing heavy loads. This brings your MPG to around 8. Sut you do get somewhere.

I had my 1982 Yamaha XJ650 in the bed, Golden Retriever in the back seat, and RV on the hitchball for a few trips after the differential replacement. No issues after the maintenance.

If I could offer one last tip......make sure you replace the tranny fluid before and after your cross-country, load-carrying journey. This also is important because of the high temps you drive through and the high temps generated by the work on your engine.

found out the U-haul car hauler trailers have pintle brakes (brake booster) or whatever they are called. I am way less worried now.
