I've been doing some research on adding an overhead console to my truck and found some stuff online about the second plug under the hood next to the light ( dont ask i have hours of free time every night ) found a sort of DIY install and it says
"In order to get the overhead console, you need to add the Travel Convenience Group. This will give you the overhead console display, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors" .... continues to say
"Lets start with the wiring under the hood. The connector is already there, it is right next to the under-hood lamp. Then all you need is the sensor and the wiring from that connector to the sensor. The sensor would be located right behind the upper left grille insert and attatched to a metal bracket. Easy as 1-2-3. Plug and Play."
and so on and so forth.. It sounds about right, i myself have not yet tried this..
~ I do not take credit for this information other then to pass it on to the people on this forum.. the full address can be given to anyone who asks or im sure if you search on google you will easily find it
