Default Exhaust question

I want to run flowmaster mufflers on my 2003 ram with a hemi. I am just wondering if I put two mufflers instead of one to get true duals, will I lose HP.

Only if you go to big on the pipe size. Try to stay at 2.5 to 2.75 inches and you'll be good.

If you are going to do true duals, add a crossover pipe to the system. That will help preserve low end torque and increase exhaust gas scavenging.

I wouldn't run flows...what other mods do you have? true duals maybe overkill and would lose low end...if your stuck on doin trues you can do 2.5's all the way to mufflers and use 2.25" piping after to retain scavenging... and like maddog suggests, some sort of cross over (where the Y pipe would have been)

The muffler brand is a matter of preference but Chefred is right about pipe diameter and Maddog is right about a crossover.

Thanks guys, the truck is stock but I am getting a programmer and a cai soon. I was just going to start there cause my buddy has a muffler shop. What mufflers do you guys suggest, some of you dont seem to be flow fans. I have owned three mustangs and a ram air so that is the choice brand for me.
