Default Improving ride with shocks

07 1500 slt 4.7 lwb reg cab 2wd - 33k

Just got my truck on the road today for the first time since I bought it. Not crazy about the bounding, wallowing ride. Seems like a lot of rebound on the shocks.

I'd actually prefer a firmer ride, or one that's more responsive...can this be fixed with shocks?

Which kind?

Are there better sway bars etc to control the turn wallow better?

Not going to be off road, or towing much, or even hauling much.

Thanks for any input

Yes, swaybars would help. A softer shock would help (Monroe makes some for the Ram trucks).

Do you have 4X4? You could lower the truck. If it's a 4X4, they do bounce a bit more and body roll is more pronounced than a 4X2.

A sway bar would be a great addition. A couple members on here have them. In addition to Monroe, check and see if Bilstein makes shocks for your vehicle

Turns out it was failed shocks..hard to believe on a 36,000 mile 2007. Anyway got them all replaced on the tiny bit of certified pre owned warranty I had left. Now I have the ride I expected from a truck.

Thanks

Well seems like you have the ride you were looking for. I was going to recommend getting some Bilsteins on your truck and a sway bar. It seems like you took care of it though. Hope you enjoy your ride!!
