the mufflex kit is great for these rams, real throaty sound but you can choose what size you want for the noise level

Yep, i used a magnaflow exhaust (3 chamber) and used a custom tail pipe that comes strait out the back right hand side(like the viper srt 10) dual tip double wall, sounds and looks great. I M H O

According to the guys at two shops, there really isn't much difference in performance gains or price for install on a Magnaflow vs. Flowmaster. They say that the Flowmaster 40 series seem to be louder and more throaty sounding.

Also, they said to replace the "y pipe" it is more expensive due to replacing the converters. Wouldn't the replacement of the y pipe essentially be a catback replacement?

I think cat back would be completely new piping all the way back from the cats. To each his own though!
