I got a 2008 2500 with the 6.7L im looking how to delete the DPF in my truck, and increase fuel ecomoey. I have heard that the smarty programmer is the best one for this engine put when i went to look for one i found 2 so just wondering which programmer is the best.

Default Edge

I had an Edge with Juice on last my last Dodge and it worked great. I havent put anything on my newest one since it is still under warrenty. I dont know if it will affect the warrenty or not but the Edge did a great job!

There are many CTD diesel sites that you can get on and check with people that have had a lot of experience with different programers on CTD's. Most tuners you buy will give you more bang for the buck than Banks will. Banks makes a great product but you will pay much more for it than any other and the performace level will usually be less. I agree that the first investment should be gauges. They are a must!!! Also remember that once you install a "chip" on your diesel, you become your own warranty station if you have any problems. Some dealers will overlook your mod's but to many it is the kiss of death as far as your warranty is concerned. Right, wrong or whatever it can be an uphill fight if they refuse to fix anything they can associate with your "chip". IMHO

Hi guys, I am new to this site and this is my first Dodge Ram truck ever! I purchased a '08 Ram 3500HD with the 6.7 Cummins Diesel and I LOVE it. I have been having a problem as of lately and have had to bring the truck in to the dealer several times. I was told the truck was throwing a CEL because of a lack of DPF burn-off. I bought the biggest and baddest boy I could for work and do not use it to its full capabilities. I was told by the dealer that I need to stop "babying" it and work it for what it is. I really need a tuner/programmer that would allow for an adjustable DPF burn off and well as giving me some other goodies if possible, (built-in turbo timer, boost gauge, egt gauge, etc). Since my truck is still under warranty and if I were to bring it in to the dealer I would not want them to know that I had anything connected since I do not want to void my warranty. If anyone can please point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Our tuners give you the ability to monitor boost, EGTs and a handfull of other parameters.
