Default 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 sport-offroad High-RPM popping?

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport-Offroad 5.9L 360. This trucks is almost completely stock the only thing is done is exhaust and CAI. Well anyway I recently bought a Cold Air Intake for my truck, well when I floor it and when it gets ready to shift ( high rpm) it starts making a popping sound under the hood and wont shift unless I let off of it alittle bit. It only does this when I floor it. I have never had this problem intill I put the Cold Air Intake on it. Now I do know when I had my exhaust put on the CAT was removed so the O2 sensor is gone aswell, but this was done like 4 years ago and I have had no problems what so ever intill I recently put this Cold Air Intake on.

Any Ideas of what this is? I have heard it could be several things.
( Spark Plugs, Not enough back pressure, etc...)

Either way I'm just sceptical seeing that I had no problems what so ever till I put this on.

to me it sounds like timing could be off a touch or maybe getting to much fuel i would try switching spark plugs and then take a timing light to it and if that dont help then i wouldnt know

i have the same problem with the cougar im working on. its the coil packs breaking down. what i would do is pull the spark plugs out to see if there is excess fuel.

or do induction service with seafoam. maybe theres shit that is stuck up in there and now with more air it just needs to be burned out.
