Question Sirius Satellite Stratus 6 Mounting Locations

If anyone has a Stratus 6, where did you mount it? I'm not sure exactly where to mount it, but am thinking of using the fixed mount in the slot under the radio. I'm thinking about mounting it to the top of the slot with screws rather than using the adhesive since the screw holes later won't be noticeable. What have you done?

I ended up sticking it just to the left and above the sunglass/cell phone cubby hole. The nice thing about that spot is I was able to remove 2 screws in the back and run the wires through it to look pretty clean.

P.S. If you get one of these, it is not advisable to snip the 12V adapter and hard-wire it in... the adapter converts to 5V and I'm lucky I didn't fry my Sirius Radio

This is where I mounted my Sirius:

That was just a quick install using a VSM I bought off of ebay. I later took it back apart and cleaned athe wires up, it is still in the same location though. I know its a Sportster but my Stratus will fit on that same dock. To wire the power, I actually bought an aux, cig lighter and wired it in a switched fuse so that the Sirius comes on the same as the radio, and just plugged the unit into it. The cig lighter plug on the unit actually reduces the voltage from 12 to 6. A lot of people fry their units by cutting it off.
