its not any less or more complicated than any other turbo vehicle. This kit mounts the turbo underneath the truck so that passing air will keep it cool & at the same time keep under hood temps as low as possible by getting that hot turbo out of there. I forgot where it is that i read that for every certain length of the pipe that has to run back to the motor from the turbo the air gets cooled by passing air, i believe an average of like 20* for the total length. Thats running without an intercooler. An intercooler is an option. Id personally run one to have it be as efficent as possible and get my moneys worth. As for water getting sucked up by the filter. They make splash shields to protect it but i wouldnt recommend the kit if your go mudding in your truck, just risking it, ya know. My ram is a street truck, the most it ever sees is a little dirt road to go ride the quads. I live dow in miami where the wet season is no game. Flash floods included. When i get it, im getting the splash shield & an outerwears filter cover, i swear by theose outerwears covers. Ive sucked up muddy water with my quad that the airbox gets caked with mud & you take off the cover & the filter is virtually dry. Awesome. Well i hope i helped out some of you guys with questions out there. I just like researching all this stuff lol makes sundays at work go by quicker lol :d

im more of a traditional guy. I like the turbo to be under the hood. i want to custom fab my own twin turbo setup for my 4.7 with the turbos top mounted up around the radiator back about a foot. or maybe re locate the bater and delete the air box and have the turbos sit there on each side. My problem is my 4.7 came stock with 20 in tires and needless to say i can even brake torque to get the wheels to spin and i still plan on goin SRt10 22s lol. Im tryin to find as many supporting mods as i can ( Tuner, Cams, Injectors, pistons and rods, cant seem to find a crank other then stock tho) not a fan of the superchargers tho so anyone wanting to turbo there truck gets my vote! Keep me posted

I have a friend that used the ststurbo system. He loved it.
I also have a friend selling a paxton 2000 for $3300
The unit has less then 1k miles on it. He has all the accessories you need included in the price.

Its made for a 4.7l. But paxton don't build them anymore.

Cant see why you cant do a burnout... I can do them like nothing maybe its my mods too that help & the limited slip posi trac Diff. Check out my recent playtime blowing off some steem by beating on my old tires before i changed them.

I can vouch for that Guy selling that supercharger. He's a friend of mine.
