Default lower compression ratio for magnacharger

hello, im new to the forum and im soon to be a 2011 cherry red dodge ram R/T owner which should be arriving at the dealership sometime in December.
well, i am willing to invest in the magnacharger coming out in late november but i don't think its going to produce a good amount of HP since the motor has a 10.5.1 ratio, i believe thats a little high for forced induction, so i wanna know how to bring it down to at least 9.5 or lower if possible. im going to forge the pistons and rods for sure though , any advise???

Yeah, you can install a thicker set of head gaskets to reduce the compression ratio.

Or go with what you have and don't go to an overdrive pulley and increase the boost pressure.

Not sure about these trucks and boost, but s/c's love that 10:1-11:1 and long as you go and get a good tune you'll be fine and make more power with the 10.5:1 ratio. Of course it will depend on how much boost you wanna run, but low boost say 6psi to around 9 or 10psi will be safe the key is in the tune.

If do decide to lower the compression you can as MADDOG said get thicker headgasket (that will probably only drop compression to 10.0:1 at most though) or since you plan on forged pistons get some lower compression pistons.

thanx for the responses guys, i also own a jeep srt8 and have owned it for about 4 years now and the 6.1L is a beast and i enjoy driving it alot but never came across on modding the motor cuz its fast as it is and im more of a sport truck guy, so when i saw one in the mall the other day in that deep water blue color....... i was just amazed on its stunning looks and so i wanna invest good money into making this 5.7 an SRT8 killer even though i own one. but this truck will be extra special for me.
