Default chattering clutch

so when i first got the truck about 4 weeks ago the clutch was fine, didnt make any noise. Now it chatters like a mofo until its engaged to switch gears. Does this mean the clutch is wearing out or the pressure plate is weak? Im not really looking forward to getting a new clutch put in already. When switching between gears it seems fine, the odd time it feels like it gets "stuck" or wont engage so i just release the clutch and re-engage it and it goes in fine. This only happens once or twice during a 45 to an hour long drive.

I did just read that oil leaks can cause chattering but that they also cause the clutch to slip under load, ive accelerated hard up step hills and no slip so i assume it cant be that?

And never mind i found the answer...well sort of. Found lots of answers but it narrows it down...slightly..haha

Diagnosing clutch problems is difficult because a lot of different problems can cause the same kind of symptoms. Chattering or grabbing when the clutch is engaged can also be caused by burned or glazed linings, a warped or grooved flywheel, missing flywheel dowel pins, a worn pilot bearing/bushing, a worn bearing retainer, worn or damaged clutch disc or input shaft splines, bent or broken drive straps on the clutch, a bent or distorted clutch disc, a loose clutch cover or even missing flywheel dowel pins.

lol so all in all most likely not correct answers? The previous owner didnt replace the clutch and hes not sure if the person before him did or not. So im going to assume it hasnt been done in a long time. Im sure its due for a replacement, i just dont want to spend the money on replacing it and still have bad clutch chatter due to some other issue
