Cool Injector upgrade gains?

I have a '94 diesel Ram that can reach upwards of 40 psi of boost with stock injectors. It occassionally tows about 10K lbs and moves along pretty well. I once was advised to upgrade the injectors to DDP Stage 2 injectors (90 HP), but I was never told just what performance or smoke enhancements, if any, I should expect. I would really like to improve the off-the-line performance and hill climbing (highway) ability. I would NOT like to belch smoke each time I give it a little throttle. Any comments, suggestions, warnings, etc. would be appreciated.
