Default Shock Upgrade

I have been thinking about upgrading the shocks on my truck. I still have the stock shocks. I previously had Rancho RS5000 shocks on my Jeep Grand Cherokee but I wasn't sure what would be the best fit/ride for my truck. Any thoughts?

I don't have any first-hand experience with the Rancho's but they seem to get pretty good reviews. I have Bilstein HD's on my 07, and they're really nice. I have no problem recommending them to you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found a set of 5100's for $299 (plus extra due to coil over in the front) online. They also had a set of RS5000s for $169 (again with the extra cost). I guess I will just need to wait until I have the extra cash before deciding which way to go. Thanks again

I installed the Bilstein 5100's and LOVE them. I wish I had put these on my 3500 4x4 instead of the Edelbrock units. The Bilstein's are firm but not painful, and recover quickly from those annoying slow up/downs on the freeway that can make a pickup bob for a while after. Better handling too of course. I have used Rancho 5000's on my Jeep CJ-7 for years and they are fine for that, as I can get them cheap, dent them, and replace then cheap. But I would not use these lower-end units on either one of my trucks.
