Question Check Engine...

hello im new to this forum stuff and i have just bought a used 1994 dodge ram 1500.
im in love with this truck but i know nothing about mopar engines nor dodge rams themselves i have a few inquires and any help would be great

first issue is my check engine light does not come on when i start the truck i just want to know if this is normal or not. usually those lights come on then turn off after a few seconds.
also whereabouts can i locate the bulb in case its burnt out.

second issue is my 4 ways they work but there extremely dim is this a fuse problem or wiring?

Im not certain about the 94 but I know my 98 does come on, in ACC mode, and goes off shortly after the engine starts, right after the brake light goes out. It is most likely a burnt out bulb. Once you remove the instrument cluster. there will be screws on the backside to remove the pcboard, once thats out, you will see where the bulbs are and if it is black/silverish looking it is burnt out and needs to be replaced.

Key on , light should light up . If not remove the cluster and inspect the bulb . While your in there , think about doing all the bulbs .

Welcome to the forum. I agree it's probably a bulb and you should just do them all if you pull the cluster.
