alright so i did a quick search but couldn't find it but i am sure its on here but i am just going to ask anyway so...

The plastic piece outlined in red in the photo below on the door, is that piece on there with double sided tape, i am pretty sure it is ? because i want to take it off but wanted to double check it wont be a problem

I believe it is double sided tape. MADDOG has a good how-to for getting that molding off, let me see if I can find it. I found this one:

maybe i searched for the wrong thing because i didnt find that ( dumby ) anyway thanks i just needed to make sure it was tape , il be taking that thing off soon

I want to do the same thing on my truck. Since my truck is black you can see everything. The paint on those pieces is actually fading! It looks like shit and I want them off bad!

Maddog did take them off and it looks much better!

It's easy to do. The molding is just held on by double sided sticky tape.

I took those off. I had the ugly black ones and added on some chrome ones. What a pain! I baked the truck in the sun for awhile then used a blow dryer and slowly got one of the ends up off the truck, then I took some fishing line and slowly slid in underneath making sure to go through the 3M. It took awhile but eventually got it off. Then I used some bug/tar remover to remove the excess 3M and went over it with a good wax job.
