Default Ready lift leveling kit/Shop dicking me around?

I usually like to work on my truck myself but im clueless with the torsion bars so I decided to leave the leveling to the 4x4 shop (pleasantly surprised by the price to) its 150$ for install and the guy told me he had the ready lift and something he called the cam leveling kit he suggested the cam and said the ready lift keys where cheesey im not sure if its b/c they where over a 100$ more or if they actually are better. I like to wheel my truck about once a month in some stuff thats pretty challenging for most non super modded vehicles and was just wondering what you guys thought about this and if the ready lift will stand up to some mud. I plan on running either 33 or 35x12.5s depending on whether I need more/less backspacing or not on stock 17s thanks guys

I don't know what that shop tech is smoking but readylifts are highly praised buy several members on this forum. I just had a 2.5' installed and it is awesome looks great and drives the same no wobbles no vibratos just smooth. Not to mention my dodge and gm dealer both recommend them before any other kit. Trust me ready lift is a great kit. But each to their own

With your truck it does not really matter. You are buying keys so they should all be the same. Guys on here have done their lifts without any aftermarket keys. You can just crank up the torsion bars to get your leveling lift.

Also I dont know if you should go with some 35" tires with just a leveling kit. You will be really sticking the tires up in there. Especially if you do go mudding, you will have no room for the tires to travel.

True true what you guys think about 33x12.5s are those to wide I have searched and searched and cant find whether Id need more spacing for them or if they would rub

Did you go up 2" or 2.5" on the front? I would say depends on the offset of the rim if it would or wouldn't rub.

hmm well im gonna run em on the stock 17 rims and I see that some guy on here has 36x12.50s on totally stock if he can run 36s on totally stock I think I could get away w/ 33 or 34x12.5s and wheel without to much rubbing. This is really pissing me off b/c Im trying to price out everything that im gonna do to my truck in the upcoming 2 0r 3 months (level tires brushguard) anyone know of any member running 33/34/35x12.50x17 leveled

I've not seen too many 12.5's on stock offset rims that didn't have a little rub on the inside at steering lock. Also, anything taller than a 60 series tire will really rub off road as the suspension articulates.

With a 1.5" to 2" level kit and some properly offset wheels you should be able to run a 33X12.5 with NO problem.

I agree.I think with a -12 rim and a 2.0" leveling kit you should be fine with a 33x12.50.

So by that you mean I need new wheels what if I got wheel spacers. Ive read that they can cause bearing failure sometimes but im assuming if I get smaller ones properly installed and suggested by the 4x4 shop Id be good yes?
