Angry New Noise

Ok, it was only doing it when I started off going forward, but intermittently, and when got up to speed or after 1-5 seconds would stop. Sounds like a whining or groaning noise. Thought that it was the front left, but checked brakes, hub, bearings, lines, no joy. Checked diff and transfer case, fluids fine. Now it is also doing it when I go in reverse. Sounds like coming from under the driver seat. Has anyone had this problem or can any help me diagnose this so I can get it fixed. Suppose to go Virginia from Florida for Marine Schooling. Need to get it fixed soon.

Sorry...pretty hard to diagnose a noise from long distance. How many miles on your truck? It might be a bearing at the transmission. Does it do this only when it's cold?

I have 52,000 miles on the truck. It does not only do it when it is cold. It does it intermittently on acceleration and then stops.
