Default radio/nav screen visabilty issue....

....it really sucks during the day when I have my sunglasses on.

Anyone have the same problem?

Can we adjust contrast settings?

Thanks Musky

I have this problem in late afternoon. I leave my head light switch on auto and I find they come on very early and when it does it dims the nav touch screen. I do find it harder to see then. Maybe check and see if yours is stuck in the dimmer mode as if the headlights are on.

Direct sunlight will wash out the screen much like it does when you try using a laptop outdoors. I think that is more the problem than your sunglasses.

Tinting the windows may help. I don't notice the same problem you have, but I've already tinted (50%) all windows... even the rear as the factory tint is just colored glass with no UV or heat protection.
Cheers

There is a setting on your dome lights just before full on that will increase the brightness setting. Had the same problem myself until I discovered this. Works fine now.

I cranked it up to max 10 on the daylight brightness setting and seemed to help a bit.

Thanks....
