I have haqd the service light come on before, i reset it myself, no more light until it was close to the right time

on the other side of the coin, i also had the check engine light come on one time, the dealer checked out the code & came back Wrong Viscosity & they have always done my oil changes, but, it turned out to be that the computer needed a flash, it was a something to do with a Drivability thing, i don't have the TSB or whatever its called handy

Hey hate to hijack the thread but just wondering how to reset the oil light yourself without having to go to the dealer. I tossed in the full syn mobile when I did my oil change and the light is still on obviously but would like to reset if possible.

Just a word of advice always pay closer attention to the milage of when to change oil based on driving habbits rather than what the light ans sensor tell you.

Turn the key to "on" do not start the motor. Depress the gas pedal slowly 3 times within 10 seconds. Turn the key "off".

As to the question about the oil, per the Hemi Engineers 5w -20 is the required oil for the Hemi in the 1500's with the MDS. Anything other weight will void the warranty.

Thanks Root Beer, I figured there had to be someway. I tried a few of the old tricks without success ie. cycle key a few times etc... Ill give that I try when I get back on my next days off.
