Yup, turns out my buddies 17's were basically an 09 sensor. Might just be easier to buy a set and have em put in and save the ones he pulls off those 20's for later use. He'll need the sensors back from the 17's anyway. Dunno how those 09 sensors were working with his 2010 bit who know these days with dealers.

Curios - I was wondering why you wanted to swap 20s for 17s? I have 17s on my truck and was looking to go the other way.

What kind of tire/rims do you have? I've been thinking about the 17's also. I have the 20's and might be interested. Send me some pics of your tires/wheels and where you live. It's a longshot, but.......

For me, its just personal preference. 20's are major curb checkers, plus the price difference betweena 20 and a 17 MT is over 100 a tire on most tires I have checked..some over 150 higher. And I dont like the chrome CLAD stuff.

It would be a quick job for a competent shop.
Yup the sensor is on the valve stem. both wheels would need to be taken off but you don't need a special shop. most tire shops (including mine) have hydraulic arms attached to the wheel machine. brake the bead and push down on the rubber, you can the access the TPMS. To do the whole thing would take the shop about 45 minutes.
