Does the death wobble only happen in 4hi and does do it before you level it.

From what I've heard, death wobble is usually in 2wd driving down the road. You hit a bump in the road and it feels like your front wheels are flopping around under the front of your truck. At higher speeds it can feel pretty crazy, from what I've heard. Never had it myself, but my buddy has an 08 2500. He put a spacer lift on the front and had it BAD a couple times and took off the spacers. Freaked him out big time! Supposedly lifting the front of these trucks with spacers, etc. changes a critical angle in the suspension that causes this. For a reason I dont know, it doesnt effect all trucks.
Maybe someone with more knowledge or experience with this can chime in!

I'm putting on some Bilstein 5100 Shocks so I'm hoping I don't get the wobble.

How hard are these to install on a 2011 1500? I've done plenty of shocks on coil spring front ends, but never tackled the coil over design. How much compression is there on the coil over design compared to the coil spring design? Thanks for any feedback! I really would like to get the truck leveled and this seems the best way to do so. Bilstein says this shouldn't effect the factory warranty, is that true?

I called my dealership and asked them if it would void my warranty and they said no. They are the ones putting them on cost about 200.00 to have them put on, now just which height 2.1 or 2.8 .

The shop that put mine on is run by a friend of 30plus years. He said they were a pain in the ass to do but I didnt ask him why. He had a lot of questions about them for his ram as he thought they were very nice. I would imagine if you have a very good spring compressor you should be able to do it, but you will need an alignment after.

If an alignment is necessary I might was well let them install the shocks.
