Default Front Brake Pads Will 3500's Fit 1500's?

Hello all, I just purchased my first Ram after being a long time Blue Oval Warrior. I just moved back to Florida and bought it for a good A to B driver until i get back on my feet here. It is a 2004 with 195K miles and runs very smooth for that high of miles. I am changing the oil today and the front pads are squealing like a pig. I found somebody local who has Duralast pads for a 3500 and the part number is the same as the 1500 ones. I am not sure on the specs but from what i can see the front's are the same on the 1500's and 3500's. Thank you for any help! Adam

Welcome to the Z. I find it highly unlikely the brakes on the 3500 are the same as those on the 1500 but who knows. I'd call a parts dealer like NAPA or the dealer and get the part numbers for both. Don't forget to turn the rotors and lube (should come in the box with the pads) the back side of the pads where they contact the caliper.

If these are "spare" or "used" do NOT touch them. I don't play around when it comes to brakes, they are either do it right or don't do it at all.

We have a lot of forums for all kinds of topics, so you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to post questions.

We LOVE pics of Rams.

Here's how to post them: http://www.ramforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73

Welcome to the forum. That's good advice. I'd verify the part numbers independently.
