It doesnt effect anything and its a lot better for your truck, the engine builders say you can go 5000+ with no oil change. I switched to synthetic because i had a boxing ring to pull on weekends and its just a better oil all around

Switching to full synthetic isnt a problem at all, it wont affect the warranty. The only thing about it is pick one or the other. If you go to synthetic you cant go back. Also, you should probably switch gradually. Next change, use blend and then after that use the full synth.

It doesn't hurt a thing to switch from regular to synthetic. Mixing is actually a very bad thing, ask any good mechanic!

In the USA most synthetics are a mineral base Group III. If they were still Group IV it would not be a good ideal to routinely keep going back and forth although it would not cause any damage.

Won't hurt a thing. I use Mopar 5W20 synthetic (mainly becuase that is what my dealership uses), but it does not break down near as fast as conventional oils. However, that does not mean not changing the oil at the recommended service intervals. It is a little bit pricier, but, to me, worth it, and no, it won't affect your warranty.

How many quarts of oil do I need? I left my manual at work the night I bought my truck, can't seem to find the damn thing anywhere!

I am using the SSO Amsoil with dual filters and change oil every 30 to 35,000 miles with no problems. I have 77,000 miles on our 05 Hemi and it uses less than an pint between changes.

I wonder if oil viscosity should be the same in hot weather ... Owners manual doesn't tell a word about it. My RAM always used Castrol Syntec Blend 5W20, but I don't really know if these everlasting summer I live and drive in should make me go up in viscosity

Default Royal Purple Synthetic Oils

Royal Purple is the oil I use. They ran a test on a stock vehicle and changed out the oil, Diffs and tranny fluids to their brand of synthetic fluids and Held loer operating temps and picked up gains of 5HP to the wheels! It is a little more expensive then other Synthetic brands but this is one of those "you get what you pay" for products.
