Default Torsion bar Key Lift Kit

I was trying to find a way to get a little more clearance on my front end and to level out my truck. I found this lift kit that uses a key on the torsion bar. Does anyone know anything about this kind of lift and if so is it a good idea? I just find it hard to believe that i can get almost three inches for only 70 bucks. Also if it is a plausible way to lift my turck, is it something I could do by myself?

I'm looking at gettinghttp://www.autotrucktoys.com/ram/Day...8452C4675.aspx/

It looks like these will just expand the space between the coils and what they attach to, giving extra height. I don't know anything about torsion bars kits though!

was talking to my dad this weekend, he's not a fan of torsion bar kits as they put extra pressure on the bar. making it more likely to snap.

I have heard of them all they do is change how much down pressure the torsion bar puts on the lower control arm. I got the same effect just by tightening the stock ones down a little more on my Dakota. I really didn't like the out come I got 1 or 2 inches but the ride went south fast. You really have to watch how many turns you add you that the other side looks the same. I would look for a coil spacer or a full lift. Having said that has anyone tried Rancho's quick lift system for a half ton ram yet. I am looking at getting a set. They use the factory coils and convert them to a coil over for the front. They recommend that you use rs 9000s for the rear because of the wireless ride control that can adjust the ride on the fly from inside the cab. ANY THOUGHT OR FEELS WOULD BE GREAT. thanks
