Default Viper 5901 Alarm/ starter / keyless install

Anyone out there know where I can find information aiding me in installing the viper 5901 system. I havent done a project like this before but Im fairly handy and wouldn't mind reviewing a DIY guide before deciding to pay to have it done. I am not just trying to be cheap, although it is a factor lol, I would also rather trust my quality of work over that of some shop kids. Thanks for any advice offered!

DIY alarm and remote start used to be a piece of cake. However, the after-market systems require wire splicing and such. This if done incorrectly can wreak havoc with late truck's computers and create all kinds of problems.

I'd suggest getting it done by someone what warranties their work so that you can go back to them if problems crop up.

I had the same thoughts regarding the DIY installation. I guess I will probably stick to the warrantied install and insist to be able to watch the work done.

there are a few of these being installed by caliber owners right now. On the caliber, its only one factory wire that you need to touch, the rest is all off the viper harness that you are soldering on.
