From Directed Electronics,Check them out Or use Chrysler oem,Just be careful
with some of the E bay vendors.
Did you already have RKE on your ride before you got the Python?

Reason I ask is I read in another thread that a RKE Code would have to be purchased from the dealer to add RKE to a vehicle.

Yes i did, I still have both my key fobs and they work,And have Sentry key.
The python Transmitter is already taught to the receiver,So no you wouldn't need to buy a dealer code. And python can go into learn mode to store 4 different codes
I give my oem fob and key when i take in for service,So theres no issues with alarm
I just disarm.

so if i get one of the 49.99 fobs off ebay and have 2 working fobs i can program it...????

if so thats sweet, i can keep the two OEM locked away in the safe and just use the cheapo $50 one and replace as needed????

man that'll save some money if i ever lose it or get robbed

I think billwill's truck is like mine, it has power locks and windows but did not come with RKE. My keys are FOB like but have an actual metal shank that is cut. It also does not have any buttons. Although the truck did come with two "Old style" keys that the dealer said to only use to unlock or lock the doors. they said to NEVER try to start the truck with those "Old style" keys. Reason - the new style keys are electronically paired to the truck. The old keys won't let the engine crank over because the computer is not receiving the code from the key.
