Yyyyyup I was swearing those exact smae words when I was changing out to the piia's this spring lol. Just change the hi beams, ( I'm assuming you have the quad lamps..) as the low's did not toss any more light out vs. stock bulbs.
Even still, they are shite. Did put 100w bulbs in the driving lamps and that is working well.

WHY CAN'T DODGE MAKE IT SIMPLE??????????????
i know lots of you have changed them and its not impossible but what happens if for some reason your bulbs burn out at night... you can't take your truck apart on the side of the road.... every other vehicle manufacturer can produce a truck that takes 2 seconds to change bulbs incase of emergency.... anyways this is more of a rant than anything... i did my best to not swear but holy @%#%$@#% the words that are going through my head right now that could describe how i feel about the engineers at dodge right now!!! other than that nice truck... someone come change my headlights for my and put on my mudflaps lol
Lol a "trained tech" at the dealer takes 45 minutes do change the bulbs?!? hahahahaha sounds like piss poor trained technicians to me! I'm a tech at a dodge dealer and it definately does NOT take 45 mins to change the bulbs lol! Release the lock from inside the access panels in the fenders, take the front grille off (4 10mm bolts), put your hand down to the bottom of the backside of the grille and pull to the front of the truck (they are snapped in pretty tight), then take off the remaining 10mm bolts for the headlamp assemblies. Honestly a "trained tech" should be able to do this in 20 mins disassembled and reassembled.
Tools required: Trim stick, 10mm ratchet or wrench, small pocket screwdriver.

I just use a 30 inch extension and a piece of shop-grade paper towel to get at the two lower bolts behind the grille. I don't see why you need to touch the grille at all - the paper towel is used to place over the bolt and hold it tight in the socket so it can be lifted out with the socket/extension.

The rest is easy to get to.
