It's the battery and contacts in the key fob that I was referring to.

You have to open up the key fob. I removed the key from the fob and used a small flat head screw driver to pry it apart, it just unsnaps into two pieces. Remove the button pad and you will see the battery and contacts. There are three prongs that make contact with the battery, the two that are on each side of the battery were fine, I did slightly and very gently lift the third contact that touches the center of the battery to make sure it was tight.

My truck is about a 11months old now and noticed my key fob was acting up after 3months I ended up switching to the other fob and it has lasted until about a month ago, this last month has been weird, I will go a week where I have to press the button about a 100 times before it locks or and unlocks and then there will be a few days when it is completely fine, its driving me nuts, I think I am going to have the dealer look at it when they replace my cracking leather or i mean leather trimmed vinyl seat!

Like Butter said, just take the key fob apart and clean the contacts with an eraser. Also replace the battery and you should be good. I had every problem described above. Since I did this 6 months ago, all has worked flawless!
