A cap is the cheapest and easiest way to fix your dimming issue... If you dont you run the risk of doing damage to the charging system on your truck... $200 now or thousands later... Just go to Best Buy and pick up a 2farad cap 30 minute install... If it helps I have a 5farad in mine, spare battery and an isolator
