Unhappy Audio install w pics.... airbag light :(

Ok folks, so here is my first post and it is one that will highlight my audio install on my Ram 1500. My head unit is a Jensen VM9414 which was a surprise actually as my old impression was that they were of the lower end audio companies out there. But I've been impressed so far except that it didn't some with Canada GPS maps which is where I'm from (I'm fighting the dealer on that one). Anyways, here is a before picture of my dash before.

The next is a series of pictures during the install. I went with some Pioneer Premier TS-A943P 6x9's and Pioneer TS-A1683R 6.5's in the rear. They pound pretty good, the front ones were a pain to install as the voice coil frame was quite wide. But I managed. I also lowered all my windows before I took out the battery so that I could tell if the voice coil was going to touch the window rolled down! Oh, and the factory speakers!!!! WOW they sucked! The front ones felt like 0.001lbs they were so light.

I again went with a Jensen 760 4 channel amp. It was just the right size to fit in behind the rear seat on the floor. Nice amp actually and it pushes the Pioneers well.

Love heat shrink!!!

Here is some finished pictures of the head unit, I also installed two headrest DVD players. It is cool cause I can play a DVD in the head unit and it will play in the head rest DVD players. Or they have their players as well.

!!!!!! But here is the kicker... I noted in some earlier posts that when people fiddle with their audio system, they get the Airbag light continually staying on. This happened to me, it decribes a "yellow" airbag connector that I have to mess with, does anyone have a picture of where this connector is???? PLEASE HELP, I want to clear this bogus warning!!!!! Where is this connector?

No, I don't know what the code is. This is the thread where I read about this "yellow" airbag connector

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread....ghlight=airbag

Dunno where this is..... any ideas guys?

There was a ton of wires to put back behind the head unit, I'm thinking I may have bumped that connector or something. Haven't had time to take it apart again.... hopefully on the weekend some time.

I got them from onfair.com. They are OK, the resolution on them are not great, but there are several versions with better resolution. $176USD when I purchased 1 month ago. They screwed up some of the shipping stuff so make sure you check if you order through them. They are sending me the missing parts though which is nice.

Did you install the Canbus interface?

If not, you need to. The computer is routed through the stock HU. When it goes missing, the system goes weird, and it doesn't know why. It could get worse.

To Bleepo:
Yup, i got the Canbus interface, Metra one I believe. I don't even think the truck will start without. I guess i have to find the error code to figure out this airbag light.... ill have to wait until the holidays to get deeper into it.

On another note, the head unit didn't come with Canadian maps and so i'm fighting the retailer on that one with little success. Even though they advertised that it did. BOZOS at Sonic Electronix!!!
