I'm curious to know if you guys removed the factory sealant or just resealed with something else? Coming from Dan, I'd be curious to know what they did at AAC since I'm gonna be installing a whole bunch of halos soon.

We removed 100% of the factory sealant to ensure the lens would lay in the channel as if it were new parts from the factory. We had a caulk gun with black rtv silicon sealant as the cartridge. layed a generous ammount in the channel alllll the way around...placed the lens in. and had three large clamps to hold the lense against the back while the silicone set. (they were just tight enough to hold the lens in place...DONT constrict it) The next day i went around the entire perimeter again and smoothed it down with a finger tip (wear gloves!!) to ensure a neat leak free seal. (you should use a pair of cutting dikes to trim off any obnoxious sealant blobs coming out before you apply the clean second final seal).... I'm thinkin these should be fine when it comes to leaks, but we still havent had any rain.
