Default Drag newbie question.

Went to the track for the second time. First time I went, I held the brake a bit and revved to about 2000 rpm, let go of the brake and launched, no problem.

I've made a couple mods now and returned to the track. Now I can't keep from spinning at least a few rotations when I punch it. Even if I don't rev it up before the green.

Any tips, I'm sure I'm wasting a couple tenths of a second, maybe a half second while it spins?

I know wider tires or slicks would help, but I'm not looking to hot rod the truck, was just hoping maybe to improve the technique of my launch.

Are you warming up the tires before staging?

Very little, only a couple rotations.

Warm them up good. That will help with off the line traction. Sounds like you need it!
