Talking A quick muffler question

Hi all. I have an 03 4.7 Quad cab. If I wanted to get rid of the stock muffler am I getting rid of the little resonator thing near the end of the pipe too?( Little being relative, it's about the size of a car muffler.)
Thanks in advance.

You don't have to remove the resonator.

You can remove the muffler and put what you want in it's place, then run with the resonator for a while and see if you like it.

If it's still too quiet, take out the resonator and replace it with a piece of pipe.

I been thinking of doing this also. using Thrush turbo but leaving the resonator.

My brother just did this on his 01 it sounds good.
