I put mobile 1 in my truck at 500 miles with no problems. Did the same for my 06 Magnum R/T and have not had a single problem and it has about 75000 miles on it now. Don't get a cheap filter and any synthetic will do the trick. I change my oil about every 4500-5000 miles and my oil is still a nice honey brown color.

I avoid Pennzoil and Quaker State like the plague from a bad experience with their regular oil, I don't know if their synthetics are worth a damn or not.

I use Mobil 1 05-20. Use it in both my wife's Escape and in my Ram. Have never had an issue when using it and I have been using it for almost 15 years.

One thing to remember, when you pick an oil, the best thing is to stick with that same oil for the duration of the vehicle. Mixing brand can actually cause problems due to their different chemical make-up. In other words the oils will work against each other and end up not giving the protection that you need.

Pick a brand and stay with it...

I have been told by several performence shops to do 2 oil changes first.. to get any metal out of the base of the engine (and do them at 3000 and 6000) then go full sync
the reason to keep the reg oil for the first 2 changes is really money.. since your changing them quicker.. you may as well just use reg.. then spend the bucks on the sync ... I have changed my oil once and will go full sync next change... not sure of the brand yet...

Go with synthetic oil ASAP...!
No thanks on the RP&AMS oil. (way over priced)
Mobil 1 5w20 @ walmart $22 for 5qt = per jug
(Hemi use`s 7qts, buy 2 of the 5qt jugs and save$ 3qts towards your next oil change)
Its like $1.50 per qt cheaper by buying the 5qt jugs

Be careful of what oil filter you are useing...!!!!!!!
The oil filter should be designated for synthetic use.
The factory MOPAR filter will be fine with most synthetic oils.
