Default headlight gap?

i took my headlights off of my 07 mega cab and i dont know what im missing, but when i tried to secure them back in it seemed like there is a gap on the side between light and fender and the top is off just a little bit too, tried putting pressure on it when tightening the bolts back in....???

i dont get it, has anyone else had this happen or can let me know what im missing here?

There is a small post at the top back side of the headlight capsule that needs a little persuasion to go back in. A firm tap and shove on the front of headlight with the heel of my hand usually does it for me.

The rear post needs to be finagled into place, and if you dont get it into the socket, then you won't be able to get the rear nut tightened all the way.
