so what are you going to do if you are dissatisfied with the HBS kit? and $525 seems a little high to put in just a leveling kit IMO.

I'm going to suck it up, enjoy my Truck, fry bigger fish, and save money for a 4" lift.

Bamasport, I was checking out your Mods. Your truck is a beauty.

I agree with you on the lift over the leveler. I think the lift from our local 4-wheel parts shop will cost me $2,500 to $3,000 since I cannot turn a wrench. The leveling kit was a temporary fix to the modification addiction that I could do "under the wife's radar." She'll notice a 4" lift.

I appreciate it, took a lot of searching and finding the right prices and stealing of other peoples ideas and contacts but there are a couple more things to do before i am done. I would figure out what you wanted and do plenty of research while you're saving the money. You may be able to find a cheaper price online and just have them install it. well good luck hope the HBS kit works for you so you can subdue the modding addiction for now

Alright, it's time to report.

Short Answer: HBS 2.5" does a better job of leveling than the Daystar 2.5".

Details: Here are the height details from both companies.

HBS 2.5" Leveling Kit - Part # 125-200-001, is 1 3/8" tall.

Daystar 2.5" Leveling Kit - Part# KC09113BK, is 1 1/4" tall.

HBS reports that their 2" Leveling Kit is 1 1/4" tall, matching the Daystar 2.5" kit.

My Measurements:

From ground to center rear wheel well-
Daystar - 39.75"
HBS - 40"

From ground to center front wheel well-
Daystar - 37.75"
HBS - 39"

From center rear wheel to center wheel well-
Daystar - 23.75"
HBS - 24"

From center front wheel to center wheel well-
Daystar - 22.25"
HBS - 23.25"

From ground to top of front bumper-
Daystar - 29.75"
HBS - 30.25"

From ground to top of front grill just below hood line-
Daystar - 47.5"
HBS - 48.5"

Photos - First Photos are Daystar 2.5", Second Photos are HBS 2.5"

my truck with the Daystar front/rear, lift/leveling kit sits pretty level.
my measurements. From the center of the wheel to the lip of the fender:
Front 23.25"
Rear 24"
so 3/4" of differance.
so if I only put on the front spacers it would have been just perfectly leveled.
