I'll be in the minority. I realize the Outdoorsman model has done away with a lot of the chrome. But a few chrome touches makes for a sharp truck. Nice truck BTW!

I was caught up in thed "Chrome or Black" dilema myself as I personally like a monotone paint scheme with just having chrome or black highlights. As my Sport came with the chrome wheels and step bars with very little little black otherwise, I opted for a chrome Bull Bar and Box rails. I have in the past had a black powdercoated push bar on another truck which I found scratched over time. I had to have it recoated which wasn't real cheap. I was also going to go black on my Harley Road Glide but again I found powdercoat scratches and chips too easily. Just my 2 cents. By the way Frank that is a nice looking bike. Is that a Street Glide?

Yeah. It's a Street Glide. I was going to go with an Ultra but it had too much chrome on it. Went with a black street glide and set it up how I wanted to. Thanks!

nice truck. I'd go black vs chrome on that truck. I'd always prefer chrome, but, if you really liked chrome, you'd have bought the bighorn or laramie. I've seen painted or powder coated side steps in a silver aluminum color too. With your aluminum wheels and two tone paint, that may be a good look, but in the end it is your truck, add the mods you like.

On the Outdoorsman model like You have.....stick with the black step bars. Also, if You ever get dual exhaust.....the Outdoorsman model does not have them.....I would also get black exhaust tips....would look reaaly cool. Railway makes a really cool tube side step...You can get them in either chrome or black......just go to Railway.com I think or just type in railway black tube steps and see what comes up. Enjoy Your new truck.

I am on the same dilemma just bought a black lone star and I was thinking about to black it up but I have chrome front and rear bumpers, so I will keeping chrome it, starting with the Nerf bars. You should go black in your truck since since there are no chrome on it, I guess.
