Paint it? What is the point....it probably weighs the same as our aluminum or a bit less. if you have an alarm it will trip when the hood is opened.

The whole point of carbon fiber is for weight reduction or if it's vented it helps regulate the heat from the motor/bring in more cool air. Had a carbon fiber hood on my old car and the weight difference was huge! OEM hood weighed 45 lbs and the CF hood weighed 13 lbs.

The only truck unpainted CF hoods belong on are SRTs, other than that I mean there's some really aggressive looking hoods out there so if painted woud look amazing on any rig. With carbon fiber hoods the fitment is far superior compared to fiberglass.

Couldnt have said it better myself... the idea behind carbon fiber is to lessen weight first then the way it looks, take for example the numerous super cars that have carbon fiber painted bodies

You don't think it would look good left as carbon fibre? I am assuming the design is not all over the place, made to leave as is?
