Default Tow Hooks

Next mod has been ordered. Picked up a new set of OEM tow hooks of ebay for 119.00 plus 12bucks for shipping. Price seemed to be reasonable. Question; how does the insert get removed? I was going to order a new one with the cutouts but I think I will try and cut the holes in the current one first and see how that works out. Thanks!

Hello, I just installed my tow hooks last week. The removal of the plastic insert is fairly easy, you have several push pins across the top you remove first, once removed you push up from underneath or pry up on the bottom edge to release the plastic from the bumper.

I used a new insert I ordered from Jims Mopar but it seems fairly straight forward to cut out the holes needed.

cut off wheel & a dremel tool make short work of the job
but, any other drill, hand type jig saw, & a file will work too

the measuring is up to you

Basically you need to cut out the entire oval recessed area that the tow hooks would stick out of.

Here is after the hooks installed on a sport. They look fine. Just have to get a black honeycomb grille now.
