Default Got a letter from the dealer today...

Here's what it says:

Our Jeep/Dodge family would like to extend our sincere thanks to you for visiting our showroom.

Your salesperson, XXXXX XXXXXXX, advised me that you are contemplating the purchase of a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. I was disappointed to find that we were unable to satisfy your needs.

I have reviewed your transaction and feel that we should meet as soon as possible to discuss a customized payment plan that will be comfortable for your budget.

Please contact me so that we might set up an appointment for the purpose of discussing this payment plan in detail. I sincerely believe we can make it worth your while to once again visit our dealership.

Strange because this never happened. I bought the truck and payments are within my budget. I'm going to call on monday to see what's up, but have any of you gotten one of these after actually buying a vehicle?

Have to admit, that is strange, hasn't happened to me before, but perhaps they just got you confused with someone else? Be interesting to see what they say when you call, unless they're hoping you're gonna go back and buy another one!

I think they feel bad about the price you had to pay and the amount of the payments and they want you to come back so they can adjust the price lower and thereby lower your payments. I think it's very thoughtful of them---let us know how all that works out ---
