would I benefit from a lower t stat? I dont have elec fans but have a programmer installed. I noticed on the highway the other day I opened my truck up to 115 or so and the temp gauge rose a little as if it couldnt cool fast enough. If I would benefit Im planning to change my coolant soon and would like to do so now

A t-stat is very easy to get out. It's 2 bolts and then you can pop the thermostat out with a flat head screwdriver.

Your engine controller reads air temp and density. By lowering the operating temp of your engine you increase the air density and decrease air temp. This meens you need more fuel to compensate, which delivers more power. If you stay out of the throttle the additional power will allow lower rpms during normal operation and you may see a slight fuel economy improvement.

Mopar mike if you have one for the Tstat I would really like to see it up here. Like everyone knows if it can be done in the drive way it saves money...... Unless you strip your spark plug threads. True story.lol

I got a 2007 hemi and don't know anything about t-stats but keep seeing people talk about them. Is this something I should look into for my truck and what are the pluses of getting one?
