Default 2011 foglight question

Hey everyone, I'm working on a 2011 Ram 1500 and am adding on the Mopar Foglights. They fit perfectly but when I try to wire it up to port 23 and port 24 slots in the green C3 26 way connector, there were already wires there. I found two other empty slots that had connector pins and put the wires there, but I don't think that is gonna work cause the fog-lights come on every time I hit the brakes. I would like to fix it before I take it to the dealer for the code work. Anyone dealt with this issue before? thanks zip

Have you checked to see if your truck already has the wiring harness there in place ?

These are the fog lights that would be dealer installed and they have there own harness that gets plugged into the lights and thentwo wires and a ground go into the TIPM box. But were the manual says the wires should go... there are wires already installed.

found out that 2009-2010 are wired the same but 2011's have a different TIPM so all the wired accessories are in different spots. It was not prewired for the foglights. I took a lot of jazz from the guys at work when they saw me pull in and step on the brakes and have the fog lights come on. Gottem workin now though

Hey Zippo, im having the same problem. Where did you put the wires to get them to work. I had my computer programmed but dont have the wires in the correct spot to get them to work. I also had them in the break spot and had them turn on when i hit the break. Any help here would be great.

Look for the 16 pin C4 connector should be light gray or beige. Mine was located below and to the left of the green C3 26 way connector. Holding the 16 pin connector up so the red connector lock in on top, the top right pin would be port 1 and the bottom left would be port 16. You need to put the white w/orange wire in port 11 and the white/yellow in port 16. You might find a black sin those positions they are dummy wires and I just taped them up. Hope that works for ya . Post when your done to let us know. zip

I ended up taking my truck to the dealer since it had to be programmed and they were able to get them running. Thanks for your help though.

Hey do you have a picture of the finished fog lights installed? I'm debating to buy the factory mopar setup, or go after market.
